The day after Thanksgiving we returned to Mickey’s, this time with a guest drummer, Bob’s former bandmate Mitch Mitchell. Some of us had jammed with Mitch before at our “jam club” that we hold from time to time in our basement practice space, and it was a real pleasure to get to perform with him in Waverly, on his home turf. We rocked with everyone until the wee hours of the night, grooving and dancing off those mashed potatoes and gravy…. A highlight of the evening was surely when Mo made use of his cordless trombone mic and took a stroll through the crowd–it sorta felt like we had been transported to a parade down the streets of New Orleans!
