We just found out that the final count for the money we helped raise at Flood Aid earlier this month was $8,000! How great to raise so much money while having so much fun.
Next up for Voodoo Highway is a gig on Wednesday night (Oct. 26) at the Cyber Cafe in Binghamton, from 8-10. Tom Egan will be joining us on stage at some point to do a couple of songs with us, including “Mother Floodin’ Blues”–a song he originally wrote about the 2006 flood, and then resurrected and updated after the latest one.
And speaking of “Mother Floodin’ Blues”… we have recorded it and made it available for download on this site (click “The Flood” tab, just above). If you like it and want to download it, all we ask is that you make a small donation to the United Way, the Red Cross, or other charity of your choice. (There are links to the United Way and the Red Cross donation pages just below the link to the song.)
See you at the Cyber on Wednesday!
Peace, Love, and Rock and Roll,
Voodoo Highway
